В статье рассматриваются глобальные тенденции развития туризма, подходы к развитию туристской деятельности на основе парадигмы «зеленой» экономики. Исследованы экологические проблемы в Украинском Придунавье, международный опыт реализации экологических программ сертификации в сфере рекреации и туризма. Анализируются как теоретические вопросы экологической безопасности и охраны окружающей среды, обусловленной глобализацией, так и различные региональные факторы, условия и принципиальные возможности решения данной проблемы в регионе. Установлено, что осуществление экологической сертификации туристских услуг необходимо для реализации концепции устойчивого развития туризма в Украинском Придунавье. The article discusses the global trends in development of tourism, approaches to the development of tourism activities on the basis of the “green” economy paradigm. The author studies ecological problems of the Ukrainian Danube region, the international experience of implementation of environmental certification programs in the field of recreation and tourism. He examines the theoretical issues of environmental safety and protection of environment in the context of globalization, as well as various regional factors, conditions and possible solutions of the fundamental problems in the region. It is established that the implementation of environmental certification of tourist services is necessary in order to realize the concept of sustainable development of tourism in the Ukrainian Danube region.

In the recreational region environment possesses specific natural resources (curative climate, various types of mineral water, medical dirt, picturesque landscapes) which satisfy to interests of the major national project – the “Health”, raising demand of the population for recreational services (resort treatment, tourism, improving rest). The satisfaction of the specified interests of society mentions, at least, two forms of interaction of society and the nature: economic and ecological. The first - is directed on use, consumption, nature transformation for ensuring economic interests of society, and the second - expresses ecological interests of society in pure, healthy, productive and multi-purpose surrounding environment, as biological basis for satisfaction of requirements of society in recreational services therefore this article is devoted to topical issues.
