In the article the basic historical stages of formation and development of dermatovenerologic service in the Saratov area from the end of XIX century on present time are presented, the leading role of dermatovenerologic dispensary in sanatorium education of regional population is shown; preventive maintenance and perfection of methods of struggle against STIs and infectious skin diseases are presented.
