Synthesis and study of hybrid composite materials based on high molecular weight compounds with introduced nanosized inorganic additives is an important line of investigation in modern materials science. Polymer nanostructures control the growth of nanoparticles and their size distribution. In addition,they interact with the particle surface, changing the defect concentration and the surface tension energy of these particles. Ion exchange matrices (membranes, fibers, grains) constitute a special class of nanostructured polymeric substrates.
