В статье отражена история зарождения социоестественной исто-рии и деятельность ее основателя – Эдуарда Сальмановича Кульпина – по утверждению и развитию этого перспективного научного направления. В свете коренного изменения места и роли человека в природе и обществе предлагается обоснование идеи формирования адекватной мировоззренческой парадигмы. В этом контексте очерчивается проблематика социоестественной истории как одного из актуальных направлений исследований сообщества ученых, составляющих творческий актив и читательское сообщество журнала «История и современность». The article describes the history of formation socionatural history and the contribu-tion of its founder Eduard Salmanovich Kulpin to the development of this promising scientific direction and proving its validity. In terms of radical changes of the place and role of a human in nature and society a justification for the establishment of adequate worldview paradigm is provided. In this context, the author outlines the problems of socionatural history as one of the important directions of research of scientific community which makes up the creative assets and audience of the journal “Istoria i sovremennost”.

В статье обсуждаются предмет и метод СЕИ. Теоретические основы СЕИ рассматриваются и реконцептуализируются на основе естественно-гуманитарного синтеза парадигмы социоприродного развития, теории социоприродного развития, концепции эволюционного времени, теории цивилизационных укладов, концепции кризисов развития и учения социального гуманизма. The article analyzes the subject and method of socionatural history while its theoreti-cal foundations are considered and reconceptualized on the basis of natural and humanitar-ian synthesis of the paradigm of socionatural development, theory of socionatural devel-opment, conception of evolutionary time, theory of civilization patterns, conception of development crises and theory of social humanism.

The field of cultural evolution has grown considerably since the turn of the 21st century. Researchers who apply evolutionary principles to the study of human culture and social learning in other animals are spread out among a great diversity of fields. They can be found in human sciences like archeology, anthropology, geography, economics, politics, sociology, and history. Or the ecological and biological sciences like ethology, environmental science, evolutionary studies, population genetics, and sociobiology. Many are also found in psychology, public health, business management, marketing, and technology studies.

Change in complex systems, system evolution, is itself complex. This paper is about world system evolution as it is reflected in the pattern of urbanization over the last 5000 years. It will be shown that the pattern of urbanization as part of the immensely complex world system exhibits non-linearity in that it is neither smooth nor continuous but rather is punctuated by periods of rapid change interspersed between periods of stasis. This pattern was first described in biological systems by Eldridge and Gould (1972) for speciation, and much of the pattern of urbanization reflects the characteristics of punctuated equilibrium first described by those two authors. Specifically, this paper will investigate the phenomenon of punctuated equilibrium reflected in both the macro-pattern of urbanization over historic time, i.e. the evidence for punctuated equilibrium as reflected by data on urbanization and on the level of state development, and possible mechanisms for such punctuated behavior including the general model of self-organized criticality as developed by Per Bak (1996), the role of hypercycle formation in punctuated equilibrium, the role of aromorphic processes, and the interaction between population, carrying capacity, and level of technology as represented by a very general math model.

Получен таксономический состав птиц из средне- миоценового местонахождения Шарга (самого богатого по числу таксонов неогенового местонахождения Азии). Кроме того, изучены новые материалы по неогеновым местонахождениям Хиргис-Нур 2, Чоно-Хариах 1 и 2, Шамар и Береговая. В результате данной работы установлено 16 новых родов и 23 новых вида птиц, уточнено систематическое положение ряда ранее описан- ных форм. Впервые в неогене обнаружены 5 современных родов птиц. Всего авифауна изученной территории в миоцене насчитывает теперь 57, а в плио- цене – 69 форм птиц. Получены первые обширные данные о неогеновых сообществах воробьи- нообразных птиц в Азии по материалам из местонахождений Шарга, Береговая и Шамар. Новые материалы позволяют реконструировать эволюцию некоторых групп и сообществ птиц в отдельные эпохи неогена на территории Центральной Азии. На примере воробьинообразных и фазановых птиц показано изменение ландшафтных условий на территории Центральной Азии от среднего миоцена к позднему плиоцену.

The foot structure of piciform and coraciiform birds is examined in detail. Certain similarity in foot structure between woodpeckers and woodhoopoes is shown and provides the basis for the model of the evolutionary formation of the zygodactyl foot. It is shown that African mousebirds and the Madagascan Leptosomus discolor are probably the closest relatives of piciforms. A brief review of fossil groups presumably belonging to the piciform stem is provided.
